The Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation Ltd has informed about the judicial proceedings concerning its tea estate in Singampatti, Tamil Nadu, which was held under a 99 years lease. The Corporation has handed over possession of the leased plantation land to the State Forest Department and dismantled factory structures. The Supreme Court has noted the completion of settlement of VRS amounts to plantation workers and the Corporation has demobilised all movables and handed over possession of the temporarily retained area to the Forest Department.
