By way of the Order, the Hon'ble Court has directed the appointment of a forensic auditor with a mandate to primarily undertake a factual enquiry into the dissipation of the shareholding of the Singh Brothers (i.e., the Company's erstwhile promoters) in the Company, the subsequent change in control of the Company, and the role of the relevant stakeholders (including inter alia various banks / financial institutions, erstwhile promoters and their controlled entities, and the Company) in regard to the same. The Hon’ble Court has not imposed any liability, penalty or fine on the Company. It is worthwhile to mention that the Company was neither a party to the original dispute nor a judgment debtor in the execution proceedings. The Company is reviewing the judgment in detail in consultation with its legal counsels and will evaluate the appropriate course of action in accordance with applicable law.
