Towers, Dalal Street, Bandra (East), Mumbai 400001 Mumbai 400051 Subject: Disclosure of material events / information under Regulations 30 of Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 Dear Sirs, Goa Carbon Limited ("the Company") wishes to inform you of the Rectification Order dated 10.07.2026 passed by the Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Circle-1(1), Panaji, Goa under Section 154 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 ("the Act") in respect of the Assessment Year 2010-11, which was received by the Company on 27.08.2026 at 12:53 a.m. on registered email ID. The Company, on 12.12.2025, had filed a grievance seeking rectification of the Order Giving Effect dated 20.11.2025 ("Order dated 20.11.2025"), whereby a refund of Rs. 76,15,436/- was granted to the company for Assessment Year 2010-11, However, the statutory interest payable under Section 244A of the Act was not allowed under the aforesaid Order. Thereafter, in response to the aforesaid grievance, the Department declined the Company's request for payment of the statutory interest. Consequently, the Company was constrained to file Writ Petition (L) No. 485 of 2026 before the Hon'ble Bombay High Court, Goa Bench. During the pendency of the abovementioned Writ Petition, the Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Circle- 1(1), Panaji, passed the Rectification Order dated 10.07.2026, whereby the Order dated 20.11.2025 was rectified to allow interest to the Company under Section 244A of the Act. Consequently, further refund of Rs.1,20,44,555/- was determined to be payable to the Company in respect of Assessment Year 2010-11. The Company is also evaluating the appropriate course of action in respect of the Writ Petition (L) No. 485 of 2026 pending before the Hon'ble Bombay High Court, Goa Bench, in light of the aforesaid Rectification Order dated 10.07.2026.
