Ltd. to Propel Inorganic Growth MUMBAI: BSE-listed non-banking financial company Purple Finance Limited plans to accelerate its growth through inorganic route. The company has tied up fund-raising commitments of Rs 108 crore in equity, strengthening its financial position and making it ready for the next level of robust AUM growth. "Our growth strategy is not limited to opening new branches. We are equally focused on evaluating strategic opportunities that can help us expand into new geographies, strengthen our portfolio, and add capabilities," said Amitabh Chaturvedi, Chairman, Purple Finance Limited. Purple Finance reported assets under management (AUM) of over Rs 278 crores as on 30 June 2026, registering a current growth rate of over 116 per cent increase over the previous financial year. Cumulative loan disbursements since inception have surpassed Rs 312 crores. The company delivered a strong & sustainable financial performance during the quarter ended 30 June 2026, reporting total income of Rs. 1,622.45 lakhs, a 162.55 per cent year-on-year increase. The company reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs. 38.43 lakhs, marking a significant turnaround from a loss in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. As part of its inorganic growth strategy to build capabilities and expand its network, the Board of Directors of the Company have accorded their in-principle approval for the proposed acquisition of Saksham Gram Credit Private Limited as a 100% wholly owned subsidiary, subject to the completion of necessary due diligence and approval of relevant authorities. The proposed acquisition, will mark Purple Finance’s foray into rural and semi-rural markets. This in-organic growth will propel Purple Finance’s network expansion and customer base, strengthen its distribution proficiencies & enhance the company’s presence across Tier III & IV markets, and establishing a strategic foothold in the Southern India states. The company will remain focused on expanding access to formal credit for micro, small, and medium enterprises across Tier II, III and IV markets as it progresses towards its long-term aspiration of becoming a Small Finance Bank. Incorporated in December 2019, Saksham Gram is one of the largest Business Correspondent providing services to banks and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), facilitating microfinance, unsecured business loans and secured business loans, primarily catering to customers in rural and semi-urban areas. Having its presence spread across 10 states, serving over 1.63 lakhs customers through 147 branches, covering 74 districts with more than 31000 microfinances centers, empowered by ~900 human capital. With proposed acquisition, the combined entity is expected to have an Assets Under Management (AUM) of approximately Rs. 850 crore.
