Scrip Code: BBTC Dear Sir(s)/Madam(s), Sub: Disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 We refer to our earlier disclosure dated July 21, 2026 made in relation to ongoing judicial proceedings concerning the Corporation’s erstwhile tea estate in Singampatti, Tamil Nadu viz. Civil Appeal No. 6395-6397 of 2025 before the Hon’ble Supreme Court. As stated in the earlier disclosure dated July 21, 2026: i. While the Civil Appeals do not in any manner pertain to issue of lease rent payable (if any) by the Corporation qua the formerly leased land, the Supreme Court, placing reliance on a report prepared by the Central Empowered Committee and an internal inter-governmental correspondence, had, at para 59 of its order dated May 29, 2026 recorded that lease rent of INR 4,655 crore “remain to be recovered” by the State Government from the Corporation. ii. Accordingly, the Corporation filed an Interlocutory Application [IA No. 207972 of 2026] before the Hon’ble Supreme Court seeking an order recalling and expunging para 59 of the May 29, 2026 order, since the Civil Appeals did not pertain to the issue of lease rent and further since no notice or, demand or computation of lease rent recorded has been issued to or served on the Corporation, much less any hearing or opportunity to object to any such sum of alleged lease rent has been provided to the Corporation We wish to inform you that the Hon’ble Supreme Court, vide its order dated August 19, 2026 (a copy of which was made available on the website of the Hon’ble Supreme Court on August 25, 2026), has allowed the Corporation’s Interlocutory application and recalled the aforesaid observations contained in its order dated May 29, 2026. Relevant extracts of the August 19, 2026 Order are reproduced below: “8. Having considered the submissions advanced by learned senior counsel appearing for BBTCL and learned Amicus Curiae and having regard to the fact that the amount of Rs. 4,655.24 crore had neither been the subject matter of a notice served upon BBTCL nor been finally determined after affording BBTCL an opportunity of hearing, we are of the view that the observations contained in paragraph 59 of the order dated 29th May, 2026 warrant recall POST BOX NO. 10077 THE BOMBAY BURMAH TRADING CORPORATION LIMITED TEL. Accordingly, observations made in paragraph 59 of the order dated 29th May, 2026 to the extent, the same refer to the lease rent liability of BBTCL, are recalled.” The Corporation will continue to take all necessary steps in the matter and will keep the stakeholders appropriately informed of any material developments.
