Bagging/Receiving of orders/contracts

Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Limited (KMEW), in consortium with its subsidiary, has secured a ₹66.11 Crore contract from the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI). The order entails the design, construction, supply, testing, and commissioning of 10 hybrid electric passenger ferries, with completion expected in 10 months, followed by 60 months of maintenance. This significant contract marks KMEW's strategic entry into India's green shipbuilding segment and represents the first external commercial shipbuilding order for its subsidiary. For investors, it signifies a broadening of KMEW's business portfolio and strengthens its transition into an integrated maritime infrastructure and shipbuilding enterprise, aligning with government initiatives for sustainable water transport.
