Says Amish Mehta, Managing Director & CEO, Crisil, "Our Q2 2026 performance reflects continued
growth momentum and disciplined execution of our strategic priorities. Despite a volatile and
challenging macroeconomic and geopolitical environment, we delivered growth across both our
domestic and international businesses. As clients step up investments in GenAI, we are focused
on leveraging our domain•led GenAI capabilities and future-ready talent to convert this opportunity
into long-term growth. As Crisil enters its 40th year of making markets function better, we remain
committed to advancing this trajectory and delivering long-term value for all stakeholders."
We expect India's gross domestic product to grow at 6.6% in the current fiscal, compared with 7.6% last
fiscal, despite multiple headwinds, including higher prices of crude oil and other commodities, softer global
growth, and a below-normal monsoon forecast. In this context, S&P Global expects global GDP growth to
decelerate to 3.1 % in 2026 from 3.4% in 2025, with U.S. economy expected to grow at 2.1 % in 2026
supported by resilient consumption from higher-income households and strong Al-driven private
investment.
Yields on corporate bonds remain elevated, resulting in a 25.7% on-year decline in issuance by value in
Q2 2026.
