Dear Sir/Madam,
This has reference to your letter Ref. No. NSE/CM/Surveillance/17231 dated July 07, 2026 seeking
clarification on the news item appearing on the website of The Economic Times titled "FSSAI issues
notice to Heritage Foods over Fresh Paneer claims.
In this regard, we submit the following point wise response:
a) Whether such negotiations/events were taking place? If so, you are advised to provide the
said information along with the sequence of events in chronological order from the start of
negotiations/events till date.?
Reply:
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued a letter to Heritage Foods
Limited on June 30, 2026, seeking an explanation in relation to the use of the word "Fresh" in
the label/product description of one of its paneer products.
In response, the Company submitted a detailed reply to FSSAI on July 02, 2026, providing
comprehensive clarifications and explanations on the matter. The Company is presently awaiting
further communication from FSSAI.
It is important to note that the letter pertains solely to the use of the word "Fresh" in the product
description "Heritage Fresh Paneer." The letter raises a question regarding the use of this
terminology and does not allege or question the quality, safety, purity or standards of the paneer
manufactured by Heritage Foods Limited.
The use of the expression ‘Fresh Paneer’ is intended to distinguish it from frozen paneer, which is
also part of our product portfolio.
Heritage Foods Limited has always maintained the highest standards of quality, food safety and
regulatory compliance in the manufacture of all its products. The Company follows stringent
quality control procedures and complies with all applicable provisions of the Food Safety and
Standards Act, 2006 and the regulations made thereunder to ensure that consumers receive safe
and high-quality products.
The above represents the complete sequence of events. The matter pertains solely to a regulatory
correspondence from FSSAI and does not involve any negotiations or events of the nature
contemplated under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements)
Regulations, 2015.
b) Whether you/company are aware of any information that has not been announced to the
Exchanges which could explain the movement in the trading, if any? Further, you are
advised to provide the said information and the reasons for not disclosing the same to the
Exchange earlier as required under regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015?
Reply:
The Company is not aware of any information or event that has not been announced to the Stock
Exchanges which could explain the movement, if any, in the price or volume of its securities.
The letter received from the FSSAI does not fall within the material events or information
requiring disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LO&DR) Regulations, 2015. Accordingly,
the same was not disclosed to the Stock Exchanges.
The Company has been and continues to be fully compliant with the disclosure requirements
prescribed under the SEBI (LO&DR) Regulations, 2015, and shall make appropriate disclosures
to the Stock Exchanges in the event of any material development, in accordance with the
applicable regulatory requirements.
c) Material impact of the article on the Company
Reply:
The news article pertains solely to the use of the word "Fresh" in the packaging/labelling of the
Company's paneer product. The letter relates only to the interpretation of the product description
and does not allege or question the quality, safety, purity or standards of the paneer
manufactured and marketed by the Company.
Accordingly, the article does not have any material impact on the Company's business
operations, financial position or performance. The Company continues to maintain the highest
standards of quality, food safety and regulatory compliance in the manufacture and sale of its
products.
