Allahabad demand order received from the Office of the Principal Commissioner, Central Goods
and Services Tax, Noida
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is with reference to the disclosure filed by the HCL Infosystems Limited (“the Company”) on 17th October
2025, whereby the Company had informed that Hon’ble CESTAT, Allahabad had allowed the appeal filed by the
Company and set aside the Order-In-Original dated March 10th, 2021, issued by the office of Principal
Commissioner, Central Goods & Services Tax Commissionerate, Noida imposing a demand of Rs. 312.34
Crores plus interest and equivalent penalty under rule 14 of the CENVAT Credit Rules, 2004 read with the
proviso to Section 73(1) of the Finance Act, 1994.
Pursuant to regulation 30 read with sub-para 20 of Para B of Part A of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure
Requirements) Regulations, 2015, this is to intimate that the Department has preferred an appeal before the
Hon'ble Allahabad High Court against the aforesaid order passed by the Hon'ble CESTAT, Allahabad.
The matter is presently at the stage of admission, and no interim order has been passed by the Hon'ble High
Court. The Company believes that it has a strong case on merits and shall continue to take all necessary legal
steps to defend the matter.
