GK Energy Secures ₹235.92 Crore Order to Deploy 10,000 Solar-Powered Water
Pumping Systems Across Maharashtra
~Order under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana to strengthen the state's solar-powered agri-irriga(cid:415)on
infrastructure~
India, July 06, 2026: GK Energy, One of India's largest Decentralized Renewable Energy Infrastructure Company
with a technology-defined, asset-light execu(cid:415)on model, today announced that it will deploy 10,000 Off-Grid DC
Solar-powered Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump
Yojana. The order by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribu(cid:415)on Company Limited (MSEDCL), valued at ₹235.92
crore (inclusive of GST), involves the design, manufacture, supply, transporta(cid:415)on, installa(cid:415)on, tes(cid:415)ng and
commissioning of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP solar-powered agricultural pumping systems across the state.
The ini(cid:415)a(cid:415)ve will support the deployment of solar-powered irriga(cid:415)on systems across Maharashtra, enabling
farmers with reliable and sustainable access to energy for irriga(cid:415)on while reducing dependence on conven(cid:415)onal
power sources.
The latest order further reinforces GK Energy's long-standing associa(cid:415)on with MSEDCL in suppor(cid:415)ng the state's
renewable energy ini(cid:415)a(cid:415)ves. With this project, the Company has secured orders worth ₹ 637.83 Crores (inclusive
of GST) from the u(cid:415)lity, reflec(cid:415)ng its strong execu(cid:415)on capabili(cid:415)es and con(cid:415)nued role in advancing Maharashtra's
clean energy transi(cid:415)on.
As decentralised renewable energy con(cid:415)nues to gain momentum across India, solar-powered irriga(cid:415)on is emerging
as a key driver of clean energy adop(cid:415)on in the agricultural sector. Government-led programmes such as the Magel
Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana are accelera(cid:415)ng this shi(cid:332) by strengthening rural energy infrastructure and
improving access to sustainable energy solu(cid:415)ons for farming communi(cid:415)es.
Commen(cid:415)ng on the development, Mr. Gopal Kabra, Chairman & Managing Director, GK Energy, said: "Over the
years, we have built GK Energy as an execu(cid:415)on-focused renewable energy infrastructure company with a
technology-defined, asset-light opera(cid:415)ng model. Our strength lies in combining deep rural market understanding
with robust execu(cid:415)on capabili(cid:415)es, enabling us to deliver decentralised renewable energy projects efficiently and
at scale. This approach has allowed us to support large public programmes while maintaining quality, speed and
opera(cid:415)onal discipline."
The project will be executed within 60 days from the issuance of the Work Order/No(cid:415)ce to Proceed (NTP).
He further added, "India's growth story will be shaped not only by the infrastructure we build, but by how
effec(cid:415)vely it reaches the communi(cid:415)es that need it most. Expanding access to clean energy for agriculture is about
empowering farmers with reliable infrastructure that supports produc(cid:415)vity, sustainability and long-term resilience.
We are proud to contribute to this journey by partnering in ini(cid:415)a(cid:415)ves that are helping build a stronger, more self-
reliant and energy-secure rural India."
Till March 2026 with over 140,000 renewable energy systems installed and more than 617 MW of renewable
energy capacity commissioned across India, GK Energy con(cid:415)nues to expand its presence across solar-powered
agricultural pumping systems, roo(cid:332)op solar, distributed renewable infrastructure and emerging clean energy
solu(cid:415)ons. The Company today operates across 7,500+ villages, suppor(cid:415)ng India's transi(cid:415)on towards cleaner, more
decentralised energy systems.
The latest project further strengthens GK Energy's role in suppor(cid:415)ng government-led renewable energy ini(cid:415)a(cid:415)ves
focused on expanding clean energy access across rural India.
