c. A brief on types of customers:
APL Apollo primarily serves its customers through a multi-tier distribution model comprising dealers, distributors, direct
marketing associates and channel partners. This network caters to demand from construction, infrastructure, fabrication,
industrial, retail and general trade markets across India.
The Company’s key customer categories include:
1. Distributive trade: Dealers, distributors, direct marketing associates and other channel partners who service retailers,
fabricators, contractors and end-use markets.
2. OEM and industrial customers: Original Equipment Manufacturers and industrial customers using structural steel
tubes and related products in their manufacturing or project applications.
3. Institutional and project customers: Infrastructure companies, government institutions, public sector entities, large
project customers and contractors, primarily serviced through the Company’s authorised distribution / channel network
or approved business arrangements.
APL Apollo’s customer reach is supported by its 11 manufacturing facilities, 22 sales offices over 800 dealers / distributors,
and exports to 36 countries. The Company also engages with fabricators, architects, engineers, construction consultants and
end consumers for product awareness, brand-building, application development and feedback; however, sales are primarily
routed through the distribution and channel partner network.
