Hindalco Industries Limited has announced the commissioning of its new aluminium bicycle component manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra. This state-of-the-art facility will produce various bicycle parts, including frames, rigid forks, handlebars, and wheel rims, for both domestic and international customers. The plant boasts a substantial annual production capacity of approximately 500,000 frames and forks, 750,000 handlebars, and 800,000 pairs of wheel rims. This strategic move is part of Hindalco's plan to expand its portfolio of value-added aluminium products. For investors, this signifies the company's entry into a new manufacturing segment, diversifying its offerings and tapping into the growing bicycle industry.
