The press conference was attended by Mrs. Vandana Yadav, Principal Secretary of Industry and Commerce, West-Bengal, Mr. Ashok Kumar Todi, Chairman, Lux Industries Limited, Mr. Saket Todi, Executive Director, Lux Industries Limited, along with representatives of various leading media agencies. The press conference was convened by the Company to clarify the allegations raised by Mr. Kuna! Ghosh (TMC MLA) during a press conference and on social media on 20 August 2026 concerning the clearance and approval-related matters associated with the 'Lux Cozi Group" the Company's proposed capital expenditure (Capex) expansion project at Dankuni. During the conference, Mrs. Vandana Yadav clarified the various matters relating to the requisite approvals and clearances for the proposed project. She further informed the media that all necessary due diligence had been duly undertaken by the Government before proceeding with the event. Mr. Ashok Kumar Todi, Chairman of Lux Industries Limited, briefed the media on the scale of investment and significance of the proposed capacity expansion of manufacturing capacities of Vertical A of the Company's at Dankuni. He also explained the process leading up to the groundbreaking ceremony (Bhoomi-Pujan) and outlined the Company s position regarding such allegations made against it. The Chairman further informed the media that the Company had issued a defamation notice to Mr. Kuna! Ghosh in connection with the allegations made by him. Under instructions from and on behalf of my Client abovenamed, I hereby address you and state as follows: 1. My client is one of India's leading and well-established companies in the hosiery, innerwear and apparel industry, with a legacy dating back to 1957. My client is listed on the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited and has around one lakh shareholders who have reposed their trust and invested in the Company. Over more than six decades, the Company has grown from its origins in the hosiery business into an enterprise with an annual turnover of around Rs. 3,000 crores, a workforce of around 15,000 direct and indirect employees, exports to more than 46 countries, and a production capacity exceeding 340 million garment pieces annually. Its portfolio includes several widely recognised brands, supported by an extensive distribution and retail network across India and a growing international presence. 2. My client presently operates several strategically located manufacturing facilities across India with a strong foothold presence in West Bengal. Such substantial growth and expansion have taken place under the aegis and leadership of Mr. Ashok Kumar Todi, Chairman of the Company, under whose stewardship the Company has considerably expanded its manufacturing capabilities, market presence and brand portfolio, while establishing itself as a prominent and trusted name in the Indian hosiery and apparel industry. 3. Significantly, the scale and growth of my client have been accompanied by a strong emphasis on corporate governance, regulatory compliance and responsible business practices, with the Company conducting its affairs in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements and maintaining appropriate systems and processes commensurate with the scale of its operations. The project envisages approximately 12 lakh square feet of additional manufacturing and allied infrastructure and is expected to generate massive employment opportunities. The "bhoomi-pujan" for the expansion project took place on 11 July 2026 at Dankuni ("Subject Land") at a ceremony graced by Shri Suvendu Adhikari, Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, as the Chief Guest, along with Shri Samik Bhattacharya, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and West Bengal State President, BJP, Shri Tapas Roy, Hon'ble Minister, Department of Industry, Commerce & Enterprises, Government of West Bengal, Sri. On 20 August 2026, my client came across a video uploaded on your YouTube channel (@Kunalghoshspeaks) available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rn4uSkeLsYO, containing a press conference addressed by you, wherein you made, inter alia, several false, baseless, malicious and defamatory statements, allegations, insinuations and innuendos concerning and/or directed against my client. Although such statements were sought to be couched as questions posed to the public at large, their tone and tenor, along with the insinuations and innuendos contained therein, make it abundantly clear that such purported questions were calculated to disparage my client and cast doubt in the minds of the public, including my client's stakeholders, regarding the genuineness and legitimacy of my client's proposed project. 6.
