Management Commentary
Commenting on the Company’s performance, Mr. Govind Ji Gupta, Managing Director, said:
“We are pleased to have commenced the financial year on a strong note, with healthy
business growth and improved operating performance. The quarter reflects strengthening
demand, expansion of our customer base, increased business opportunities and our
continued focus on operational efficiency. The evolving global trade environment, improving
supply-chain conditions and diversification of global sourcing are creating new opportunities
for the textile industry, and we are well positioned to participate in these opportunities by
leveraging our market relationships, operational capabilities and understanding of the
textile value chain.”
“Based on the current business momentum, emerging opportunities and our ongoing growth
initiatives, we are targeting overall business growth of approximately 40%–50% for FY
2026–27, subject to prevailing market conditions and successful execution of our business
plans. Going forward, our focus will remain on developing new customer relationships,
increasing business volumes, improving operating efficiencies and strengthening our
presence across the textile value chain. The strong start to the year and the opportunities
currently available give us confidence in our ability to deliver sustainable growth during FY
2026–27 and create consistent long-term value for our shareholders and stakeholders.”
International Business & Export Services
Exports of readymade garments continue to form the core revenue engine and
primary growth driver for SBC Exports Limited.
Continued to gain strong traction and expand its order book across key export
markets, particularly in the Middle East, driven by sustained demand for high-quality
apparel offerings under its flagship brand F-Route Clothing, as well as customised
solutions to client requirements.
The Company sees strong growth potential in its international business and export
services following the gradual improvement in shipping and trade conditions in the
West Asia region. During the period of geopolitical disruption, shipping movements
through the Strait of Hormuz and the Dubai route were affected, which restricted
the many Company's ability to undertake export shipments
With the progressive restoration of shipping connectivity and improvement in
trade conditions, the Company is now in a favourable position to resume and scale
up its export operations through the Dubai route. The reopening of this important
trade channel provides an opportunity not only to recover previously deferred
business but also to pursue additional export orders and new international
customers.
The Company intends to use this renewed connectivity as a growth catalyst, with a
focused strategy to rebuild export volumes, strengthen relationships with existing
customers and expand its presence across the Middle East and other international
markets. The Company believes that the pent-up demand arising from the earlier
disruption, together with new sourcing opportunities in the textile sector, can
support higher business volumes in the coming quarters.
With the Dubai route becoming accessible again, the Company expects international
business to make a progressively stronger contribution to its overall performance
during FY 2026–27.
The restoration of shipping connectivity through the West Asia region represents
an important growth
opportunity for our
international business. The
temporary disruption had
deferred a number of export
opportunities; however, with
trade routes becoming
accessible again, we are now
focused on converting this
reopening into renewed
business momentum. Our
objective is to recover the
volumes that were impacted,
fulfil existing customer
requirements and actively pursue new export opportunities. We see significant
potential in the Dubai and wider Middle East markets and believe that our
international business can become an important driver of growth and profitability
during FY 2026–27.
