Ministry of Coal vide letter No. 21/21/2022- Estt (B) dated 14.08.2026 with the approval of the President of India has appointed Shri Molleti Ganapathi Rao [DIN-11900656]as Non Official Independent Director on the Board of Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) for a period of (03) three Years w.e.f the date of notification of his appointment or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The board of directors induct him as Independent Director from 19-08-2026 on the Board of the company in compliance with the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and the SEBI (LODR) Regulations 2015. Details pursuant to SEBI Circular No. SEBI/HO/CFD/PoD2/CIR/P/0155 dated 11th Nov’ 2024 is enclosed as Annexure I. It is confirmed that the above-mentioned Independent Director is not related to any other director of the company and is not debarred from holding the office of Director by virtue of any order of SEBI/any other authority. Brief Profile Shri Molleti Ganapathi Rao (DIN: 11900656) is an experienced public administrator and retired Senior Grade Deputy Collector with extensive experience in public administration, revenue administration, land administration and resource administration. He also has professional experience as a Geophysicist in geophysical surveys and groundwater targeting. Shri Rao holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from Andhra University (1982) and an M.Sc. (Tech.) in Geophysics from Andhra University (1985). He began his career with GSDA, Mumbai, as a Geophysicist (1985–1986), followed by his tenure with APSIDC, Andhra Pradesh, as a Geophysicist (1986– 1995). From 1996 to 2024, he served in the Revenue Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, including as a Special Grade Deputy Collector in the State Civil Services.
