She holds an MBBS from Dr. Panjabrao Alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh Memorial Medical College, Amravati, a Post Graduate Diploma in HIV and Family Education (DAFÉ) from IGNOU, a Post Graduate Diploma in International Human Rights from the University of Delhi, and an LLB from Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur, reflecting a multidisciplinary academic background spanning medicine, public health, human rights and law. She has further enrolled for the specialised courses from the University of Washington in “Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in Global Health” and “Leadership and Management in Health in India”. With over 25 years of professional experience, she currently serves as Senior Medical Officer at the ART Plus Centre, NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur, under the Madhya Pradesh State AIDS Society, and has previously served at the Tropical Forest Research Institute and J.K.
