Dear Sir/Madam,
This is in continuation to the litigation disclosed in the offer documents relating to the writ
petition filed by Mahendra Singh (“Petitioner”) before the Hon'ble High Court of Jharkhand
at Ranchi under Article 226 of the Constitution of India against the State of Jharkhand,
Bharat Coking Coal Limited and others, seeking directions to the concerned authorities to
arrest the accused persons in connection with the case dated July 13, 1989. BCCL was
impleaded in the writ petition on the allegation that certain accused persons were erstwhile
employees of the Company.
The Company has been informed that the Hon'ble High Court of Jharkhand at Ranchi, vide
its order dated June 30, 2026, has disposed of W.P. (Cr.) No. 652 of 2022. No adverse
direction has been passed against the Company.
Accordingly, the litigation disclosed in the offer documents stands closed with the disposal
of the writ petition.
