Analysis Of The Financial Results
ABM Knowledgeware Limited (BSE: 531161), operates in three high tech verticals i.e. E-
governance, Cybersecurity and Agritech. ABM announced its results on August 14, 2026, for
the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
Summary of Key Financial Parameters

operational revenue of ₹26 crores for Q1 FY 2026–27. The Company posted consolidated
EBITDA, PBT and PAT of ₹8.17 crores, ₹6.28 crores and ₹2.74 crores respectively for the
quarter.
ABM achieved a Gross Profit Margin of approximately 31% and an Operating Profit Margin of
18%. As highlighted over the past 1–2 years, the moderation in profitability is primarily
attributable to continued investments in AgriTech (Scanit), scaling efforts and competitive
pressures in Cybersecurity (InstaSafe), and margin pressures during the transition phase of
diversification in Digital Governance business.

Digital Governance
Standalone revenue for Q1 FY27 stood at ₹20.64 crores, compared with ₹20.16 crores in the
corresponding quarter of the previous year, registering a marginal year-on-year growth of 2%.

InstaSafe added 7 new customers during the quarter and secured orders worth ₹1.42 crores
including renewals from the existing customers. Despite intense competitive pressure, the
company continues to strengthen its customer base by retaining existing customers while
adding new ones.
Agritech
Scanit continued to strengthen its position as a global agricultural intelligence and pathogen
surveillance platform during the quarter. The business achieved several commercial and
strategic milestones across North America, Europe, Africa, Latin America and India. In the
United States, Scanit secured its first multi-year deployment for row-crop disease monitoring
covering approximately 500,000 acres, expanded acreage coverage in the Midwest by over 2x,
and added new pilots with leading agribusiness, research and academic partners. Positive
customer outcomes and repeat subscriptions further validated the value of Scanit's technology.
The company also expanded its international opportunity pipeline, including advanced
discussions with leading seed and agricultural organizations in Europe and Africa, while
establishing new significant partnerships in India with AgriPilot.ai and DeHaat to broaden
market access. Product enhancements, including the launch of Spore Insights v2.0 and
continued evolution of the SporeCam platform, further strengthened Scanit's technology
offering. During the quarter, Scanit's growing industry recognition was reflected through
invitations to present at leading agriculture and AI forums in the United States. Management
remains focused on converting the expanding global pipeline into recurring revenues while
scaling the pathogen surveillance network and data subscription business.
The journey from innovation to scale is a gradual process. It has a long gestation cycle. But
every quarter, we see stronger evidence that Scanit is moving in the right direction with more
validations, more repeat orders, more use cases and more partners.
Other Significant Developments:
1. ABM as a panelist at CIFE, ICAR
ABM participated in a National Workshop organized by
ICAR in association with CIFE on 6th March 2026, as part
of a Ministry of Agriculture initiative focused on
advancing agricultural technology. The workshop
covered key topics including GIS, remote sensing, AI
applications in fisheries, IoT, and drones, with NABARD
highlighting funding schemes for start-ups and
innovation-driven projects. Discussions also
emphasized strengthening industry-academia
collaboration and expanding internship and research
opportunities for students and professionals.

2. Defending the Global Breadbasket: A New Milestone for SporeCam
Scanit has reached a major breakthrough in our mission to protect global food security. Our
SporeCam is now ready to identify Fusarium graminearum spores, one of the world’s most
destructive wheat pathogens. This training of algorithm was done by India’s premier R&D lab,
in Pune with the help of Scanit’s US R&D team. While this fungus is a natural threat, it is also
a known risk in agro-terrorism due to its ability to rapidly decimate crops and contaminate
grain. By integrating this detection capability, Scanit is providing a critical defensive layer for
national biosecurity. We can now help partners distinguish between natural outbreaks and
intentional threats, enabling immediate intervention before an infection takes hold. This
achievement isn't just about better tech; it's about safeguarding the world's food supply and
alerting on possible bio-terrorism attempt.
