Standalone Financial Snapshot Q1FY27: Earnings Release Performance Highlights for Q1FY27 (standalone): • Revenue stood at Rs. 1,364.9 crore, up by 44.8% YoY, as against Rs. 942.4 crore in Q1FY26, driven by strong execution of the order book, ramp-up in smart metering projects, and sustained market demand. • EBITDA stood at Rs. 260.1 crore, up by 30.4% YoY, as against Rs. 199.5 crore in Q1FY26. EBITDA margin stood at 19.1%, compared to 21.2% in Q1FY26, primarily due to lower gross margins. Gross margin increased sequentially, however declined to 37.0% from 39.6% YoY, mainly on account of the rise in raw material costs amid ongoing supply disruptions due to the West Asia geopolitical crisis. • Profit After Tax stood at Rs. 162.8 crore, up by 26.7% YoY, as compared to Rs. 128.5 crore in Q1FY26, reflecting strong revenue growth and healthy operating performance despite margin pressures. PAT margin stood at 11.9%, compared to 13.6% in Q1FY26. • Our total order book, including all SPVs and GIC Platform, as on 30th June 2026, stands at about Rs. 24,020 crore (excluding taxes), providing strong revenue visibility for the coming years. Kindly Note: The variance in Profit After Tax (PAT) between the standalone and consolidated financials of Genus Power Infrastructures Limited primarily arises from mark-to-market (MTM) gains or losses associated with Genus Paper & Boards Limited. It is important to note that these fluctuations represent notional accounting adjustments rather than realized profits or losses. Commenting on the performance Mr. Jitendra Kumar Agarwal, Joint Managing Director, Genus Power Infrastructures said, “We commenced FY27 on a strong note, with Q1FY27 revenue growing 45% YoY to Rs. 1,365 crore, driven by continued execution of our smart metering order book, increasing rollout intensity and ramp-up across ongoing AMISP projects. We remain focused on improving the strong execution momentum witnessed in FY26. EBITDA grew 30% YoY to Rs. 260 crore, with EBITDA margin at 19.1%. The moderation in operating margin was primarily due to higher raw material costs amid supply disruptions arising from the West Asia geopolitical situation. PAT grew 27% YoY to Rs. 163 crore, reflecting continued healthy earnings generation. Our order book, including all SPVs and GIC Platform, stood at approximately Rs. 24,020 crore as of 30th June 2026, excluding taxes, providing strong revenue visibility over the medium to long term. We remain confident of achieving our FY27 revenue guidance of Rs. 6,000–6,500 crore, supported by increasing execution across existing projects and conversion of the executable order book. We expect momentum to strengthen in H2 , supported by seasonality in installation activity. We remain focused on executing at scale, with an aim of installing at least 1 crore smart meters during FY27, supported by manufacturing capacity of over 1.8 crore meters annually. As all projects have achieved operational go-live (OGL), we expect working-capital intensity to improve progressively. In FY27, we are expecting 50-75 days improvement in working-capital days as compared to FY26. The requirement for incremental working capital is expected to reduce materially, with positive operating cash flow expected from FY28. Earnings Release The transition towards the O&M phase will progressively improve the quality and predictability of revenues. O&M revenue remains limited currently but is expected to become meaningful from FY28, potentially reaching Rs. 600–700 crore, with further potential to reach Rs. 1,100–1,200 crore over the subsequent years as the installed base matures. The smart metering opportunity remains substantial; with 31–32 crore electricity meters expected to transition to smart meters, and approximately 8–9 crore meters expected to be tendered during FY27, providing a strong runway/visibility for sustained growth. Beyond, smart electricity metering, we continue to invest selectively in smart gas meters, smart water meters, software capabilities and international markets, creating additional avenues for long-term growth. The gas metering opportunity in India is estimated at Rs. 35,000–36,000 crore over the next 3–4 years, while we see potential for about Rs. 500 crore of international business over next 3-4 years. Overall, we remain confident of sustaining strong growth in FY27, led by robust project execution, a sizeable executable order book and the structural growth opportunity in smart metering. While near-term margins remain impacted by elevated input costs, the progressive improvement in working-capital efficiency, growing O&M contribution and the transition to positive operating cash flows are expected to drive a meaningful improvement in earnings quality and strengthen the business’ long-term growth and value creation potential.” About Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd.: Genus Power Infrastructures Limited (GPIL) is a BSE- and NSE-listed company and India’s leading provider of end-to-end smart energy measurement solutions for electricity, gas, and water.
