As per the said intimation, the Department has proposed a tax liability of ₹ 39,58,32,544/- (Rupees Thirty-Nine Crores Fifty-Eight Lakhs Thirty-Two Thousand Five Hundred and Forty-Four Only), comprising IGST of ₹ 29,16,89,049/-, CGST of ₹ 3,26,41,238/-, SGST of ₹ 3,26,41,238/- and Cess of ₹ 3,88,61,019/-, along with applicable interest and penalty on account of alleged short reversal of Input Tax Credit (ITC). ESL is in the process of examining the said intimation and shall take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable laws within the prescribed timelines. The Company does not envisage any significant financial and operational impact. Impact on financial, operation or other activities ESL is evaluating appropriate legal remedy against the of the listed entity, quantifiable in monetary said intimation and shall take appropriate steps in terms to the extent possible accordance with applicable laws within the prescribed timelines.
