New Delhi, August 13, 2026 - LG Electronics India Limited (LGE India), India's leading consumer
electronics brand, today announced results for the first quarter of FY27, opening the year with
growth across every category of its portfolio and a sustainable step-up in profitability.
Financial performance summary (figures in INR Billion)
Particulars Q1 FY27 Q1 FY26 YoY Growth
Revenue from operations 72.33 62.63 +15.5%
EBITDA 9.04 7.16 +26.2%
EBITDA margin (%) 12.5 11.4 +106 bps
PAT 6.53 5.13 +27.2%
LGE India delivered revenue from operations of ₹72.33 billion in Q1 FY27, up 15.5% over ₹62.63
billion in Q1 FY26. EBITDA rose 26.2% to ₹9.04 billion, with margin expanding 106 basis points
to 12.5%, while profit after tax grew 27.2% to ₹6.53 billion. This was a quarter where profitability
outpaced revenue, driven by a richer premium mix, better operating leverage on higher volumes
and continued cost discipline.
What distinguished the quarter was the breadth of the growth. Every category contributed to growth
- televisions led on a consumer interest for larger screens, refrigerators grew on premium capacities,
air conditioners on extended summer demand, and washing machines kept pace with peak-season
categories despite being out of season. This combination reflects growth that is fundamental and
portfolio-led, not dependent on any single season or category.
The company continued to execute on its three-pillar strategy of Make-in-India, Make-for-India
and Make-India-Global. The LG Essential Series deepened penetration across Tier 2 and Tier 3
markets, while exports also grew during the quarter, widening the company's international footprint.
On the B2B front, the Information Display business delivered its highest-ever quarterly
performance, supported by government and institutional order inflows, while high-margin non-
hardware AMC revenues continued to scale.
Highlighting the results, Mr. Hong Ju Jeon, Managing Director, LG Electronics India Limited,
said, “India's consumer durables market is undergoing a structural shift towards premium,
technology-led & energy-efficient products and this quarter demonstrates that our portfolio is built
for precisely that shift. Profit grew at nearly twice the pace of revenue, and every category
contributed, which tells us the growth is durable rather than seasonal. Our export business to key
global markets continues to grow, and with new capacity coming on stream at Sri City, that
momentum will only strengthen further. We will continue to drive premiumisation, scale our B2B
and export businesses, and strengthen India's role as a manufacturing and export hub for LG. We
see substantial headroom for growth in this market and remain committed to building a stronger,
future-ready business that creates sustained value for our consumers and stakeholders.”
Category Performance
Home Appliances & Air Solution (H&A) delivered strong revenue performance of ₹55.77 billion,
up 13.6% YoY. Growth came from across the portfolio: Air conditioners & refrigerators through
peak summer demand and washing machines delivering strong growth ahead of their seasonal peak
as consumers upgraded to 8kg and above capacities. Premium formats led the way, French Door
and Side-by-Side refrigerators, large-capacity washing machines and dishwashers all recorded
standout performances. Alongside this, the LG Essential range continued to scale across volume
markets, validating the company's two-track strategy of leading at the premium end while
deepening penetration in mass-premium.
Segment EBIT grew 13.8% YoY to ₹6.42 billion, with EBIT margin held firm at 11.5%. Profit
growth was achieved while absorbing elevated commodity prices and currency headwinds,
supported by operating leverage on higher volumes, calibrated pricing hikes and deepening
localisation benefits.
Home Entertainment (HE) reported a stellar performance with revenue of ₹16.57 billion, up 22.3%
YoY. Televisions were the highlight of the quarter, driven by a decisive shift towards larger screen
sizes, with premium OLED and QNED technologies strengthening the mix and sporting-season
viewership accelerating upgrade demand. Proactive product launches ahead of the usual timeline
ensured market readiness and allowed the company to capture demand as it arrived. The
Information Display business maintained strong momentum on government and institutional
orders, providing a second engine alongside the core television business.
Segment EBIT rose 48.5% to ₹3.15 billion with EBIT margin expanding 336 bps to 19.0% from
15.7% in Q1 FY26. The improvement was driven by continued premiumisation and a richer
product mix, normalisation of promotional spend and an improved cost structure in the Information
Display business, with operating leverage on strong revenue growth supporting profitability
through the quarter.
FY27 Outlook
• Well positioned for the festive season ahead of Onam, Durga Puja and Diwali, with an
expanded large-screen and premium television portfolio and continued momentum in
washing machines and refrigerators
• Two-track strategy continues: expanding the premium portfolio while strengthening the
LG Essential line-up, supported by new product launches across categories
• B2B expansion, leveraging opportunities across India's expanding infrastructure and
institutional investment cycle
• Export scale-up: Large capacity refrigerators to key global markets along with the
Essential Series widening its footprint across Asia, the Middle East and Africa
• New production capacity at Sri City progressing to plan, serving future domestic and
overseas demand
LGE India remains confident of staying ahead of its FY27 target. While it continues to monitor
geopolitical developments and their bearing on commodities, currency and supply chains, these
