He holds Law degree and has done B.Corn (Management) from Guwahati Commerce College. He is also a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (FCS). He has been a Practising Company Secretary since 1997 and has extensive professional experience in Company Law and related matters. He has served as the Chairman of the North-East Chapter of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India for two terms during 2011-2012 and is presently a member of its Management Committee. He has also served as the Secretary of the Tax Bar Association, Assam, in 2006. In addition to his professional engagements, he has been associated with Marwari Yuva Manch and served as its National Executive Member for two terms. He is presently serving as a State Executive Member of Marwari Yuva Manch.
