These financial results have been prepared in accordance with the Indian Accounting Standards (‘Ind AS') notified under Section 133 of the Companies Act, 2013 (‘Act’) read with the Companies (Indian Accounting Standards) Rules 2015 as amended and other recognised accounting practices and policies to the extent applicable. 2. The Company's business segment consists of a single segment of "trading in commodities and other commodity related activities" in accordance with Ind AS 108 - 'Operating Segments’ notified pursuant to the Companies (indian Accounting Standard) Rules, 2015. 3. During the previous year, the Company re-assessed the classification of certain land and buildings previously classified under Property, Plant and Equipment (“PPE”). As the said premises are not being used for operational or any other business purposes of the Company and the land is intended to be held for capital appreciation and strategic monetization, the land has been reclassified as Investment Property in accordance with Ind AS 40 — investment Property. Further, based on an external valuation report, the recoverable/residual value of the building was assessed at Rs. 20 lakhs against its carrying amount of Rs. 50.54 lakhs. Accordingly, the Company recognized an impairment loss of Rs. 30.54 lakhs in the Statement of Profit and Loss in accordance with Ind AS 36 — Impairment of Assets. 4.
