These legislative changes have revised thedefinition of wages forthepurpose ofcomputation ofemployee benefits and expanded thescopeandeligibility ofcertainemployee related socialsecuritybenefits. Basedonadetailed assessment carried outbytheCompany, information currently available andconsistent withtheFAQsonkeyaccounting implications arising fromtheNew Labour Codes issuedbytheInstituteofChartered Accountants ofIndia,theCompany hasevaluated theincremental impact arising fromtheimplementation oftheNewLabour Codes. Considering themateriality, regulatory drivenandnon-recurring nature ofthisimpact, theCompany hasrecognised impact ofRs.(156.39) lakhs(consisting ofgratuity andcompensated absences) asanexceptional iteminthefinancial results forthequarter andyearended31March2026. Postthebalance sheetdate,whiletheCentralGovernment hasnotifiedthefinalRulesonMay8,2026,therelevant StateRulesareyettobenotified. TheCompany willmonitor thedevelopments andupdatetheestimates oncetheStateRulesarenotified. 4 TheBoard ofDirectors andManagement areconfident thattheCompany willcontinue asagoingconcern fortheforeseeable future.Thisassessment issupported byaseriesof concreteoperational improvements andfinancing measures thathavebeenimplemented orarewelladvanced, asdescribed below.
