Chennai, August 11, 2026: The Waterbase Ltd. (TWL), pioneer in the Indian Aquaculture
Industry with integrated offerings of hatchery, shrimp feed, farm care products and shrimp
processing & exports reported a positive performance for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
Business Performance Overview
The quarter was supported by stronger traction in the Shrimp Feed business, while the Processed
Shrimp business continued to gain momentum. The Farm-care business also maintained its growth
trajectory.
Managing Director’s Message
Commenting on the results, Mr. Ramakanth V Akula, Managing Director, said:
“The performance during the quarter was encouraging, and while we are pleased with this progress,
we remain mindful of the pressures the aquaculture industry continues to face. The sharp rise in key
feed raw-material costs, particularly fishmeal and soybean meal, remains a matter of concern. Higher
input costs weigh directly on farmer economics, and getting the balance right between feed costs and
farmer returns is important for the health and sustainability of the entire value chain.
On the export front, the easing of the tariff situation has enabled the commencement of exports to the
US market, which we see as a positive development. We will continue to monitor developments in the
market and work towards leveraging these opportunities in a measured manner.
