Commenting on the results, Mr. Anjanmoy Chatterjee, Chairman & Managing Director, Speciality
Restaurants Limited, said, “We are pleased to report a strong start to FY27, with Revenue from
Operations growing by 16.8% year-on-year and, more importantly, PAT growing by 38.9% to ₹ 7.11
crore. The fact that our profit growth has significantly outpaced revenue growth is particularly
encouraging and reflects the progress we are making in improving operating efficiency and profitability.
Our 11.35% same-store sales growth across restaurants and confectioneries is another important
indicator of the strength of our existing portfolio. SSSG demonstrates that our established outlets
continue to see healthy consumer demand and are generating strong organic growth, independent of
the contribution from new stores.
We remain focused on improving the productivity of our existing network, enhancing customer
experience, maintaining cost discipline and pursuing calibrated expansion. Our objective is to build on
this momentum and deliver sustainable revenue and profitability growth in the quarters ahead.
We believe the combination of strong same-store growth, healthy revenue momentum and significant
improvement in profitability positions Speciality Restaurants well for the next phase of growth and value
creation.”
The quarter also saw a leadership change at the company, with Avik Chatterjee taking charge as Chief
Executive Officer in Q1FY27. Mr. Avik Chatterjee has spent much of his career within the organisation
and has played a hands-on role in building and scaling several of its restaurant brands.
Avik Chatterjee, Chief Executive Officer, Speciality Restaurants Limited, said: “Speciality Restaurants is
at an important stage in its growth journey, and I see a clear opportunity to build on the momentum we
have created. My priorities will be to strengthen our existing brands, expand into the right markets and
create new concepts that respond to evolving customer preferences.
Walters is a good example of what that looks like in practice. We set it up as a QSR format about a year
back, and it has already turned into a genuine growth story within the portfolio revenue is up 345% this
quarter to ₹1.56 crore from ₹35 lakh a year ago, and it now contributes 1.3% of our consolidated
revenue, against 0.3% then. Over the next three quarters, we plan to deepen our presence in Mumbai
with a minimum of 12 to 15 new Walters stores, alongside a cloud kitchen to widen our delivery reach.
We will continue to sharpen our operations, use technology to improve efficiency and invest in the
customer experience.
As we move into new markets and explore opportunities, our focus will be on building a stronger and
more scalable business while creating long-term value for all our stakeholders. We will continue to
sharpen our operations, use technology to improve efficiency and invest in the customer experience. As
we move into new markets and explore opportunities overseas, our focus will be on building a stronger
and more scalable business while creating long-term value for all our stakeholders.”
