Disclosure under Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015

Orkla India Ltd has received a Show Cause Notice (SCN) from the Commercial Taxes Department under the TNGST Act, 2017, proposing a demand of Rs. 8,40,82,951, comprising of tax demand, interest, and penalty. The SCN raises issues related to Input Tax Credit (ITC), reversal of common ITC, and reconciliation of exempt supplies, credit notes, and transactions with related/distinct persons. The company is in the process of filing detailed objections and supporting documents before the relevant authorities.
