PRESS RELEASE
“Debt-Free by FY27: Jindal Worldwide Board Approves Rights
Issue of up to ₹650 Crore in Landmark Turnaround Move”
Ahmedabad, India – 07th August, 2026: Jindal Worldwide Limited (NSE: JINDWORLD, BSE: 531543),
one of India’s leading integrated textile companies, today announced that its Board of Directors has
approved raising funds of up to ₹650 crore (Rupees Six Hundred Fifty Crore) through a Rights Issue to its
existing shareholders.
The Board’s decision marks a pivotal turning point in the Company’s growth journey. The proceeds from the
Rights Issue are earmarked to significantly strengthen the Company’s balance sheet, with management
setting an ambitious target of making Jindal Worldwide Limited debt-free by FY27. To facilitate the issue,
the Board has also approved seeking shareholder consent for a corresponding increase in the
Company’s Authorised Share Capital.
“This fund raise is more than a capital-raising exercise — it is a decisive step toward transforming the
financial foundation of our Company,” the Company said in its filing. “By channeling these funds toward
deleveraging, we are positioning Jindal Worldwide for a stronger, more resilient, and more profitable
future. Becoming debt-free by FY27 will unlock greater operational flexibility, improve our credit profile,
and enhance long-term value for all our stakeholders.”
Management Commentary Speaking on the Board’s decision, Mr. Amit Agrawal, Vice Chairman &
Managing Director, Jindal Worldwide Limited, said:
“This Rights Issue represents a defining moment in Jindal Worldwide’s journey. Raising up to ₹650 crore
gives us the firepower to fundamentally reset our balance sheet, and our ambition is clear — we intend
to make the Company completely debt-free by FY27. This is not an incremental step; it is a genuine
turnaround for our business. A debt-free balance sheet will give us far greater flexibility to invest in growth,
improve our margins, and deliver sustained, long-term value to our shareholders. We are confident that
our existing shareholders will support us in this journey, and we thank them in advance for their continued
trust in Jindal Worldwide”
Management believes this strategic initiative will materially improve the Company’s financial flexibility,
reduce interest costs, and free up resources for future growth — positioning Jindal Worldwide Limited
to capitalize on opportunities across its textile business with a significantly de-risked capital structure.
