Additional Charge of Chairman & Managing Director, IREDA to Dr Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance): Pursuant to Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Order No.340-11/3/2019 dated 30.06.2026, Dr Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance), IREDA has been entrusted the additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director, for a period of 3 (Three) months with effect from the date of assumption of the additional charge or till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is the earliest. He also holds the position of Chief Financial Officer of the Company and serves as a Director on the Board of IREDA Global Green Energy Finance IFSC Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of IREDA. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Master's degrees in Commerce, Philosophy and Public Administration, a Bachelor of Law, and a Doctorate in Philosophy in Commerce. He has over 27 years of experience in the Indian power sector, with extensive expertise in finance, accounts, treasury, project appraisal, project execution & management, commercial and legal functions. Prior to joining IREDA, he headed the Smart Metering Division at REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) and served as Senior General Manager (Finance & Accounts) at REC Limited. During his tenure at REC, he worked as Chief Programme Manager for Tripura, Nagaland, Mizoram, West Bengal and Odisha, and also held the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of FACOR Power Limited.
