CMD’s Message
Commenting on the performance, Mr. Vikram Somany, Chairman & Managing Director, said,
"I am pleased to share that CERA commenced FY27 with healthy momentum, delivering topline growth
of 19.5% year-on-year during Q1 FY27. The sanitaryware and faucetware segments, which contributed
47% and 40% of overall revenues, registered growth of 14.1% and 25.3%, respectively. The project
business continued to perform well, while the retail channel sustained the recovery witnessed during
the second half of FY26. Amidst the evolving industry landscape, CERA has continued to strengthen its
market position and gain market share, reflecting the resilience of our brand, distribution network and
execution capabilities.
The operating environment remained characterized by elevated input costs during the quarter. However,
CERA remains relatively better positioned than several industry participants owing to its established
sourcing arrangements and strong in-house manufacturing capabilities. Our calibrated pricing actions,
together with our focus on operational efficiencies, ensure we remain competitive while preserving our

margin resilience. Further, we have been able to drive improvement in our working capital during the
quarter, with the working capital cycle improving by around 25 days year-on-year, primarily on the back
of a reduction in inventory days.
We recently launched "Your Moment of CERA", our new national brand campaign featuring Kriti Sanon,
marking the next phase in the evolution of the CERA brand. The campaign reinforces our premium
positioning while reflecting our vision of building India's most trusted and preferred complete bathroom
solutions brand.
The CERA brand continues to be the principal driver of our volume-led growth. At the same time, we
have been investing in strengthening our newer brands through product development, channel
expansion, dedicated teams and focused brand-building initiatives. We recognize that building enduring
consumer brands is a long-term endeavour requiring sustained and consistent effort over several years
before they establish a meaningful presence in their respective segments. Our faucetware capacity
expansion also remains on track and is expected to be completed during FY27, enhancing our ability to
support future growth.
Looking ahead, we remain focused on driving profitable volume-led growth through market share gains,
continued investments in brand building, capacity expansion and strengthening our distribution
network. While margins during the first quarter were impacted by elevated input costs, we remain
confident of progressively improving profitability over the course of the year and continue to maintain
our outlook of revenue growth of 18–20% and EBITDA margin in the range of 13.5%–14% for FY27. Our
focus will remain on reinforcing CERA's leadership in its core categories and creating sustainable long-
term value for all our stakeholders."
