BRIEF PROFILE OF SHRI K. BALAJI, JOINT SECRETARY (ADMINISTRATION), DOT & GOVERNMENT NOMINEE DIRECTOR Shri K. Balaji, IAS (Uttar Pradesh Cadre: 2010), holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy (2006). He was initially selected to the Indian Police Service (IPS) in the 2009 Batch (62 RR) and underwent training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, before joining the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 2010. Since June 2011, he has held various fields and administrative assignments in Uttar Pradesh, including District Magistrate of districts Auraiya, Ghazipur and Meerut and Managing Director, Purvanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Ltd. On Central Deputation he served as Private Secretary to the Hon’ble Minister of Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern States, Director in the Sixteenth Finance Commission and Director in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
