As part of the initiative, the company has committed ₹1 crore towards relief and assistance efforts across affected communities. A fleet of 15 relief vehicles was formally flagged off by Nekib Ahmed, Business Head – Northeast and West Bengal, Satin Creditcare Network Limited, marking the commencement of the company’s on-ground relief operations. The relief programme will cover nearly 200 villages across the flood-affected districts of Sivasagar, Charaideo and Jorhat. Relief materials including mosquito nets, bedsheets, kitchen utensils, disinfectants, sanitary pads, bleaching powder, food supplies and drinking water will be distributed to help families meet their immediate needs. Around 150 SCNL employees have been mobilised to support the timely and coordinated distribution of relief materials across the identified communities. Commenting on the initiative, Nekib Ahmed, Business Head – Northeast and West Bengal, SCNL, said, “Assam has been an important part of SCNL’s journey, and we believe it is our responsibility to stand with the communities we serve during times of crisis. Through this initiative, we aim to provide timely assistance to families affected by the floods and support them as they begin the process of recovery. Our commitment extends beyond financial transaction, and we will continue to work closely with local stakeholders to contribute to relief and rehabilitation efforts.” SCNL has had a growing presence in Assam since 2017. The company currently operates across the state through its branch network and works towards advancing financial inclusion and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, particularly for women in rural communities.
