Press Release
Sanofi India delivers strong Q2 2026 performance, Led by double digit
growth in Diabetes Portfolio and a Robust Profit Momentum
Mumbai, August 4th, 2026
Sanofi India Limited announced its financial results for the quarter ended on June 30th,
2026, reporting domestic net sales growth of 8% and total net sales growth of 6% compared
to the second quarter of 2025.
The Insulin portfolio continued its strong trajectory, delivering double-digit growth
of 14% for the second consecutive quarter, reinforcing Sanofi's leadership position in
the basal analog market with a 58% value market share and 61% volume market
share*. Growth was powered by Lantus®, Toujeo®, and Apidra®, alongside the
successful performance of Soliqua®, the premium offering in the premix diabetes space.
The public sector business accelerated by 70%, with the opening of new accounts
for Toujeo® and Soliqua® under the CARE Accounts initiative, further strengthening
Sanofi's footprint in the diabetes injectable space.
Strategic partnerships in Cardiovascular, Oral anti-Diabetes and Central Nervous
System segments have established a strong foundation, meeting expectations for
market reach expansion. Partnership revenues grew 2% in Q2 2026, with continued
return on investment from an expanded commercial footprint
Export sales remained broadly stable, demonstrating the resilience of Sanofi India's
international operations amid global headwinds.
Profits before tax and exceptional items increased 19% to INR 112 crores,
compared to INR 94 crores in the second quarter 2025. Profit before tax as a percentage
of net sales improved to 27% in Q2 2026, up from 24% in Q2 2025.
This improvement reflects a favorable product mix and disciplined cost management
through operational efficiencies, with operating expenses (employee cost + other expenses)
declining 5% compared to the second quarter of 2025.
Deepak Arora
Managing Director
"Q2 2026 marks another chapter of purposeful, profitable growth for Sanofi India, with
our diabetes portfolio posting double-digit growth for the second consecutive quarter
and profit before tax growing 19%. These results reflect the discipline and momentum
we have built across the business.
Our acceleration in the public sector demonstrates that we are not just growing; we are
broadening access to innovative therapies across the country. With a 57.3% value share
in the diabetes injectable segment, a modernized go-to-market model, and a business
that has grown 17% in the first half of 2026, the foundation for sustainable, long-term
value creation is firmly in place.
As we mark seven decades of serving Indian patients, guided by our purpose to chase
the miracles of science, we remain focused on capturing the immense growth
opportunity that India's diabetes landscape presents."
