Metro Brands Limited Reports Q1 FY27 Results; Revenue Grows 14.7% YoY to
₹720 Crores, EBITDA up by 10.4%
Mumbai, 4 August 2026: Metro Brands Limited (MBL), one of India's leading footwear specialty
retailers, announced its Standalone and Consolidated Financial Results for the quarter ended 30th June
2026.
During the quarter, MBL reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹720 crore, registering a
14.7% year-on-year growth. Demand was muted during April and May due to broader geopolitical
uncertainties and fewer wedding dates. However, business momentum improved from mid-June,
driven by the onset of wedding season and improving consumer sentiment.
EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹215 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 29.8%, reflecting the company's
continued operational discipline. E-commerce sales (including omni-channel) grew 9% year-on-year
and contributed 13.1% of revenue. PAT margins were impacted by continued investments in talent,
brand-building initiatives as well as a modest rise in occupancy costs from new format additions during
the quarter. The company strengthened its retail footprint with 13 new store openings, offset by four
store closures.
Commenting on the results, Nissan Joseph, CEO, Metro Brands Limited said, “The business delivered
another quarter of double-digit growth, supported by disciplined execution across our portfolio and
continued focus on our strategic priorities. While demand was relatively muted during April and May
due to external factors, consumer sentiment improved from mid-June, supported by the wedding
season. We continue to invest in our brand portfolio, marketing and leadership talent that will support
sustainable long-term growth. As market conditions continue to improve, we remain well positioned to
capture the opportunities ahead.”
With 1,041 stores across 222 cities, Metro Brands continues to scale its omnichannel capabilities while
expanding its presence through a differentiated portfolio of brands and formats, reinforcing its position
for sustained growth.
