Sub: Closure of plants of Care Chemicals business of the Company at Dahej manufacturing site
We wish to inform you that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on August 4, 2026 have
approved the closure of sulfation & low temperature reactor plants pertaining to the Company’s Care
Chemicals Business at Dahej manufacturing site.
The decision to close the above-mentioned plants of the Care Chemicals business at Dahej was taken due
to the changing competitive landscape in India leading to extensive overcapacities, high costs and margin
pressure. The closure of the above-mentioned plants of the Care Chemicals business at Dahej is expected
by the end of calendar year 2026, subject to receipt of requisite approvals. The Care Chemicals business will
continue to manufacture, import and sell its other chemical products to customers in India based on their
requirements.
During the financial year 2025-26, the manufacturing operations pertaining to the Care Chemicals Business
at Dahej site, forming part of the Nutrition & Care Segment, contributed revenues of Rs. 542 crore
representing 4% of the total revenues of the Company.
The meeting commenced at 12.30 p.m. and concluded at 1.45 p.m.
