Suezmax Earnings (USD/day) Crude Tankers 300000 • Global Dirty (Crude & Fuel Oil) volumes dropped by 12% y/y in Q1 FY27 as stand off over Hormuz continued. However, the jump in Atlantic trade (+13% y/y) enabled ton-mile boost. 250000 • Crude Oil on Water rebounded to pre-war levels due to longer voyage duration driven by 200000 higher Atlantic-Asia trade. US Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) release of 1-1.5mbpd supported tanker demand, with a significant portion of these volumes moving to Asia. 150000 • China’s seaborne crude oil imports unexpectedly fell by ~35% y/y led by lower Refinery Runs 100000 & Inventory destocking. • Total Crude Tanker fleet grew by ~2% y/y.
