The updates on tax litigations or disputes in terms of sub-para 8 of para B of Part A of Schedule III read with corresponding provisions of Annexure 18 of the Master Circular dated November 11, 2024 are given below: Disclosure of Updates to Ongoing Tax Li(cid:415)ga(cid:415)ons or Disputes: 1 Name of the The Commissioner of Service Tax, Kolkata opposing party 2 Date of ini(cid:415)a(cid:415)on of 23-06-2014 the li(cid:415)ga(cid:415)on / dispute 3 Status of the The Company has filed an appeal against the order passed by li(cid:415)ga(cid:415)on / dispute as Commissioner of Service Tax demanding Rs. 65,19,360/- alleging per last disclosure contraven(cid:415)on of the provisions of the Finance Act, 1994 and non- payment of service tax, educa(cid:415)on cess and H.E. Cess., before CESTAT on 23.06.2014. The hearing was scheduled on 29.01.2025 and then rescheduled to 10.03.2025. The hearing date was further extended to 21.05.2025, where they asked for certain documents. The hearing was scheduled on 05.06.2025; 23.07.2025, 15.09.2025, 08.12.2025, 12.03.2026 and then rescheduled to 15.06.2026. 4 Current status of the The Company have received the Final Order under Service Tax Appeal li(cid:415)ga(cid:415)on / dispute pronounced on 30.07.2026; on 03-08-2026. The Authority held that the impugned demand of service tax is not sustainable. Accordingly, the same is set aside and no penal(cid:415)es are imposable on the Company. Hence, the appeal filed by the appellant (i.e. Company) is allowed with consequen(cid:415)al relief, if any. Therefore, there is no material financial impact on the Company.
