Shri Rakesh Shri Rakesh Sehgal, Executive Director (Civil) joined SJVN Sehgal Limited on 21.01.1994 as Assistant Engineer (Civil) and presently serving as Head of Department, Civil and Hydromechanical Design, SJVN Limited, he is responsible for the design and engineering oversight of all under-construction and Survey & Investigation (S&I) stage Hydroelectric Projects (HEPs), as well as SJVN’s Solar HEPs in Gujarat. He has over 37 years of professional experience in the infrastructure and power sector, including more than 32 years of expertise in hydropower development across India and Nepal. His experience covers the entire lifecycle of hydropower projects from concept to commissioning including project planning, DPR/FSR studies, survey and investigation, statutory clearances, tender design, cost estimation, detailed engineering, construction support, crisis management, and commissioning. Since joining SJVN Limited in 1994, he has contributed to major hydropower projects including Nathpa Jhakri, Rampur, and Naitwar Mori in India, as well as Arun-3, Lower Arun, and Arun-4 HEPs in Nepal. Through these assignments, he possesses good experience in project management, design optimization, tendering, construction methodology, scheduling, technical due diligence, and stakeholder coordination with Government agencies, lenders, contractors, and financial institutions. He began SJVNs journey in Arunachal Pradesh as Head of Project for the 3,097 MW Etalin HEP and later served as Regional Head for Arunachal Pradesh, overseeing hydropower projects with a cumulative capacity of approximately 5,000 MW. He successfully led one of the largest land acquisition processes for hydropower projects in the region and played a key role in securing critical forest and environmental clearances. During his tenure at SJVN, he has headed key functions including Civil Design, Pumped Storage Projects (PSP), Environment, Hydrology, Cost Engineering, Architecture and Consultancy. He has also served as Head of Design and Chief Executive Officer of SJVN Arun-3 Power Development Company (SAPDC) and SJVN Lower Arun Power Development Company (SLPDC) in Nepal. 6. Shri Vikas Shri Vikas Marwah has over 31 years of experience in the power Marwah sector. He is a B.E. (Electrical) and also holds postgraduate qualifications in Personnel Management & Labour Welfare and Operations Management.
