The Company further strengthened its footprint by commissioning 8 new RMC plants, taking the total number of operational plants to 33. As a result, the business now has a presence across 17 cities in 11 states, reinforcing its position as one of India’s fastest-growing organically built RMC networks. Commenting on the performance, Mr. Neeraj Akhoury, Managing Director, Shree Cement Limited said, “The quarter was marked by healthy demand momentum, strong volume growth and continued progress on our premiumisation drive. The increase in premium products to 23.3% of trade volumes reflects the strength of our brands. Our performance also demonstrates the resilience of our operating model amid cost pressures and external uncertainties. We remain focused on improving energy efficiency, increasing the share of green power, strengthening digital-led productivity initiatives and executing our strategy to increase market share. With all these levers in place, we are confident of delivering sustainable, profitable and responsible growth in the coming quarters.” Capex The work on Company’s proposed greenfield integrated plant in the state of Meghalaya is progressing satisfactorily. Necessary clearances have been obtained, and orders of major plant and machinery items have been placed. The project is expected to be completed by quarter ended 31st March, 2028. The Company continues to actively and strategically pursue multiple expansion opportunities to achieve its growth milestones. Sustainability initiatives Key highlights of the sustainability performance of the Company are as under: - • The Company’s share of green electricity in total electricity consumption stood at 65.2% in Q1’FY27 (64% for Q1’FY26) including of its wholly owned subsidiaries in India which is one of the highest in the Indian cement industry. • The Company is consistently ramping up its green power generation capacity which currently stands at 666.5 MW (including of its wholly owned subsidiary in India). • All the Company’s manufacturing locations are Zero Liquid Discharge, treating, recycling, and reusing 100% of wastewater generated from its operations. These efforts have enabled the Company to maintain its water positivity index of >8 times in FY2025-26. The Company endeavours to improve these levels in current year. • CARE ESG Ratings Limited upgraded the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) rating Score of the Company to 73.8 from 70.8 while reaffirming the Rating Symbol of ‘CareEdge-ESG 1’. This upgrade reflects the Company’s continued strengthening of sustainability practices, operational efficiency, and governance oversight across its business operations. Cement market outlook India’s economic outlook remains positive, supported by rising consumption, infrastructure-focused government spending, stable inflation, and favourable policy measures. Continued investments in roads, railways, and urban infrastructure are expected to support construction activity and cement demand, positioning the industry for healthy medium-term growth.
