Brief Profile Mr. Piyushkumar Sinha is a distinguished management professional with over 45 years of experience in advisory, research, training, and management across entrepreneurship, marketing, retail, e-commerce, business strategy, and decision sciences. He is currently the Director of CRI Advisory and Research and serves as the Chief Mentor for the Government of India's Startup Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. He has played a key role in developing entrepreneurial ecosystems across multiple states and has mentored numerous startups, particularly in social entrepreneurship. He also served as Advisor to the Rwanda-India Entrepreneurship Development Centre from 2021 to 2023 under an MoU between the Governments of India and Rwanda. Prof. Sinha holds a Ph.D. in Management and was a Professor at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) until March 2018, where he also served as Chairperson of the Centre for Retailing and the Department of Marketing. He has previously taught at IIM Bangalore and XIMB, served as Dean at MICA, and has authored several books and research publications. He has served on the boards of leading organisations, including Gujarat Gas Limited, Infibeam Avenues Limited, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GNFC), Jade Blue Lifestyle India Limited, and NIFiCentric, and is associated with various industry bodies, including CII.
