Mr. Parthasarathi Periaswamy (DIN: 08507318) who has been appointed as an
Additional Director in the category of Non-Executive, Independent Director of the Bank
for a period of four years with effect from July 29, 2026.

Brief Profile of Mr. Parthasarathi Periaswamy:
Mr. Parthasarathi Periaswamy is a seasoned technology and cybersecurity leader with
over three decades of experience at the highest levels of India’s financial sector. As former
Chief Information Security Officer and Chief General Manager (IT) at the Reserve Bank of
India, he has played a pivotal role in shaping national cybersecurity frameworks,
modernizing mission critical infrastructure and strengthening resilience across the
banking ecosystem.
He has served as Chief Technology Officer at the Institute for Development and Research
in Banking Technology (IDRBT), where he directed IT infrastructure, trust services and the
national threat intelligence platform (IB CART). His leadership extended to convening the
CISO Forum and organizing national cyber drills, fostering collaboration and
preparedness among banks.
Beyond central banking, Mr. Parthasarathi has advised leading private sector banks on
cybersecurity governance, policy reviews and crisis management. He was formerly a
Consultant to the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub, guiding projects on cybersecurity in the
financial sector. Further, he was a Board Member of Indian Financial Technology and
Allied Services (IFTAS), an RBI subsidiary, for the period 2019 – 2021, where he had
overseen technology governance and sector wide IT initiatives.
Widely respected for his ability to bridge technology, regulation and strategy,
Mr. Parthasarathi is passionate about advancing organizational resilience, regulatory
technology and cybersecurity governance. His career reflects a commitment to
strengthening trust in financial systems and preparing institutions for the challenges of a
digital future.
