National Stock Exchange of India Ltd., Mumbai Dear Sir/Madam, Subject: BHEL’s statement on news being circulated Online and also through Social Media about successful development of its 1200 kV Transformer Some Online content and News about BHEL’s successful development of its 1200 kV Ultra High Voltage AC(UHVAC) Auto Transformer being circulated recently, has come to our knowledge. To clarify and make our position clear, we would like to inform that BHEL had carried out successful testing of 333 MVA 1150/400/33 kV single phase auto Transformer, long back, in May 2011. The transformer was then commissioned at POWERGRID’s National Test Station, Bina, Madhya Pradesh, in January 2012. The other points mentioned in the recent News relate to 180 MVA/1200 kV Inhouse Testing Transformer and indigenous development of 500 MVA/765 kV Transformer. These Transformers were also developed long back, in the years 2011 and 2014, respectively. The news being circulated is more than a decade old. BHEL has been a regular supplier of 765 kV Transformers and Reactors, since 2014 and is also well-prepared right since 2011, to address 1200 kV Transformers and Reactors requirements.
