Brief Profile Shri. Rajan TX has been a seasoned finance professional with over 34 years of service with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and had retired from RBI as Chief General Manager in-charge of Supervision of banking sector. He was also the Chief General (cid:9) Manager, (cid:9) Cyber and (cid:9) IT(cid:9) Risk (cid:9) Group, Department of Supervision of RBI and was involved in setting up the unit responsible for regulation and supervision of cyber and IT risks in the banking sector, introduction of major regulations for the sector in cyber and IT risk areas, rolling (cid:9) out (cid:9) of (cid:9) various (cid:9) supervisory (cid:9) tools (cid:9) viz., (cid:9) IT Examinations, (cid:9) off-site (cid:9) assessment (cid:9) framework, (cid:9) incident reporting, cyber reconnaissance, automation of supervisory processes in RBI through introduction of DAKSH (a Web based application bringing the RBI and the supervised entities on a single platform). Shri. Rajan TX had led RBI in national committees involving various stake holders viz., Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (MHA), (cid:9) CERT-In, (cid:9) DoT, National Cyber Coordinator, etc. to deal with cyber and IT risks. He had represented (cid:9) RBI (cid:9) in the Financial (cid:9) Stability (cid:9) Board headquartered in Basel, Switzerland in major initiatives relating to cyber risks such as development of a cyber lexicon, (cid:9) development (cid:9) of (cid:9) a (cid:9) cyber (cid:9) incident (cid:9) reporting framework, etc. He was a member of the Basel Consultative Group (BCG) of the Bank for International Settlements, Basel, Switzerland and a member of the Board of Directors of Reserve Bank Information Technology Pvt. Ltd. (ReBIT), a subsidiary of RBI for providing Technology and allied services. He had also represented RBI in the Board of two private sector banks, including Dhanlaxmi Bank Limited.
