Thanking you, Yours faithfully, For TruAlt Bioenergy Limited Monu Kumar Company Secretary and Compliance Officer M. No.: A38853 Encl.: As above PRESS RELEASE TruAlt Bioenergy Delivers Strong Q1 FY27 Performance; Total Income Nearly Doubles and PAT Rises Over 12x as Dual-Feed Integration Strategy Drives Growth Bengaluru, July 28, 2026: TruAlt Bioenergy Limited, India's largest ethanol producer by installed capacity and the country's only dedicated listed biofuels company, today announced a strong performance for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, marking its first year-on-year first-quarter results as a listed company. The performance reflects the successful integration of the Company's dual-feed ethanol platform and the continued execution of its integrated bioenergy strategy. Financial Highlights (Consolidated) The ethanol business remained the primary growth driver during the quarter, generating: Particulars Q1 FY27 (₹ Cr.) Q1 FY26 (₹ Cr.) QoQ Growth Growth Multiple Total Income 641.41 326.63 96.37% 2.0x EBITDA 132.76 41.54 219.62% 3.2x 78.45 5.80 1,252.63% 13.5x 59.27 4.73 1,154.37% 12.5x Q1 FY27 marked the first full operational quarter following the successful completion of TruAlt's grain integration programme, representing a significant milestone in the Company's transformation. Installed ethanol capacity increased by 43% from 1,400 KLPD in Q1 FY26 to 2,000 KLPD in Q1 FY27, with approximately 1,300 KLPD (65%) now operating on dual-feed technology. This strategic integration has expanded the Company's feedstock basket from predominantly sugar derivatives to a combination of sugar derivatives and grains (unfit for human consumption), enabling near year-round ethanol production while enhancing operational flexibility, feedstock security and long-term production resilience Operational Highlights The diversified feedstock strategy has enhanced operational flexibility, strengthened feedstock security and improved profitability, with grain-based operations delivering approximately 6% higher profitability than sugar-based production. Current capacity utilisation of 60.57% provides significant headroom for future growth without requiring substantial incremental capital expenditure. Strategic Progress Across Growth Businesses ▪ During the quarter, TruAlt continued advancing its long-term growth initiatives across compressed biogas (CBG), sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and downstream fuel retailing. ▪ Construction continues across four CBG plants under the Company's joint venture with Sumitomo Corporation, while preparatory activities are progressing for six additional CBG plants under its partnership with GAIL (India) Limited. ▪ The Company also progressed its proposed 100 million litres per annum Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project in Andhra Pradesh, with engineering work, statutory approvals and stakeholder engagement advancing. The project has received a ₹150 crore grant under the PM JI-VAN Yojana, supporting its commercial viability. ▪ TruAlt currently operates seven retail fuel outlets, with further expansion planned under its phased strategy to establish a network of 100 outlets. Given the heightened geopolitical tensions in West Asia and the resulting volatility in crude oil markets, the Company adopted a cautious and calibrated approach to expansion, consciously deferring accelerated rollout while prioritising capital discipline, strategic locations and sustainable unit economics. PRESS RELEASE Commenting on the results, Mr. Vijay Nirani, Managing Director, TruAlt Bioenergy Limited, said: “Q1 FY27 marks an important milestone for TruAlt Bioenergy as we report our first year-on-year first-quarter performance as a listed company. I am delighted to share that the Company has delivered a strong financial and operational performance and we are now beginning to see the benefits of the strategic investments we have made over the past year, particularly our transition from a mono-feed ethanol manufacturing platform to a dual-feed platform. This transformation has given us the flexibility to produce ethanol from both sugar-based feedstocks and grains (unfit for human consumption), enabling near year-round operations while creating a more resilient, efficient and profitable business. Our current capacity utilisation stands at 60.57%, which gives us significant room to grow using our existing assets. Our immediate focus is on increasing our gross capacity utilisation, improving operational efficiencies and driving higher production from our existing manufacturing platform. We believe this will support sustainable growth, improve profitability and generate stronger returns over the coming years. We also made good progress across our other business verticals during the quarter. Our CBG projects with Sumitomo Corporation and GAIL (India) Limited continue to progress well, while our proposed Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project is moving forward steadily. In our downstream fuel retail business, we adopted a disciplined approach to expansion in view of the heightened geopolitical tensions in West Asia and the resulting volatility in crude oil markets, prioritising long-term value creation over rapid expansion. With a strong manufacturing base, a diversified portfolio and a supportive policy environment, we are confident about the opportunities ahead and remain committed to creating sustainable long-term value for our shareholders while contributing to India's energy security and clean energy transition."
