(BSE Scrip Code: 512068) Dear Sir, Sub: Deccan Gold Mines Limited enters into Strategic Collaborations with CSIR-CECRI and XTerra Global Resources Private Limited Ref: Disclosure under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations & Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. 1. Introduction Deccan Gold Mines Limited ("Deccan Gold"), in furtherance of its strategy to build a diversified critical minerals business encompassing exploration, mining, processing, downstream value-addition and technology-led investments, has entered into two strategic collaboration arrangements that are expected to strengthen the Company's capabilities in mineral beneficiation, metallurgical process development, battery materials, and domestic and international mining opportunities. 2. Memorandum of Understanding with CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CSIR- CECRI) Deccan Gold has entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CSIR-CECRI), Karaikudi, a premier constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India. The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration in scientific research and technology development relating to the extraction of nickel from Nickel-PGE bearing ores and the development of Nickel-Carbon (Ni-C) battery materials and technologies. The proposed areas of cooperation include: • Scientific studies on extraction, recovery and characterization of nickel from Ni-PGE ores of the Bhanwarpur Complex (Bhalukona), along with evaluation, characterization and metallurgical test work on lithium concentrates produced from Deccan Gold's Mozambique operations, with a view to developing suitable beneficiation, extraction and value-addition technologies. • Development of beneficiation, hydrometallurgical and electrochemical processes for nickel extraction and purification. • Research and development of Nickel-Carbon battery materials and laboratory-scale cells. • Joint development of project-specific research programmes, technology validation and commercialization opportunities. The MoU is non-binding in nature and provides the framework for executing project-specific agreements as and when mutually identified opportunities arise. The arrangement is valid for an initial period of two years. 3. About CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu: Established in 1953, CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CSIR-CECRI), Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, is one of India's leading national research laboratories under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). CECRI is internationally recognized for its work in electrochemical science and technology, materials engineering, mineral and bio-mineral processing, metal extraction, process engineering, corrosion science, electrochemical energy storage systems, battery technologies, surface engineering, and advanced materials characterization. The Institute has played a significant role in developing indigenous technologies and transferring advanced research solutions to industry and society, notably through the development and commercialization of India's first indigenous Lithium- Ion (Li-ion) battery fabrication technology, in addition to its pioneering work in advanced battery materials and energy storage systems. 4. Strategic Alliance Agreement with XTerra Global Resources Private Limited Deccan Gold has also entered into a Strategic Alliance Agreement with XTerra Global Resources Private Limited ("XTerra"), establishing a non-exclusive framework for cooperation in critical minerals, mineral processing, battery materials and downstream value-addition opportunities in India and overseas. The Parties will explore opportunities for technology development, project evaluation, value-added processing and strategic investments in the critical minerals sector. The Strategic Alliance Agreement serves as an umbrella arrangement under which project-specific definitive agreements may be executed as and when mutually agreed opportunities are identified. The agreement is valid for an initial period of two years and is non-exclusive in nature. These strategic collaborations are expected to strengthen Deccan Gold's technical, research and project development capabilities and enhance its participation in the rapidly evolving critical minerals and energy-transition sectors in India and internationally.
