Strengthening Foundations, Scaling for Growth
“Enduring value is created when resilience in the present is combined with investment in the
future”
The quarter witnessed a meaningful improvement in market prices of key dye intermediates,
particularly H-Acid. As a significant portion of sales during the period was executed against orders
contracted earlier, the benefit of higher market prices was only partially reflected in the Company's
performance. Subject to the sustainability of prevailing market conditions, the Company expects
improved realizations and profitability from its dyes and dye intermediates operations in the coming
quarters.
Global financial markets remained volatile during the quarter, influenced by geopolitical
developments, evolving trade dynamics, interest rate movements and fluctuating investor sentiment
across asset classes. This resulted in significant mark-to-market fluctuations in the Company's
treasury investment portfolio.
During the quarter, standalone Kiri Industries Limited (“Kiri” or “Company”) reported revenue from
operations of Rs. 288.18 crore and an operating EBITDA of Rs. 6.86 crore. Operating profitability
was impacted by higher input costs, particularly fuel, power and effluent treatment expenses. In
accordance with Ind AS 109, treasury investments classified under Fair Value Through Profit and
Loss (FVTPL) were marked to market at the reporting date, resulting in the recognition of an
unrealized, non-cash fair value loss of Rs. 56.85 crore in the Statement of Profit and Loss.
Consequently, the Company reported a loss after tax of Rs. 22.70 crore for the quarter.
The Company's share of profit from Lonsen Kiri Chemical Industries Limited (“LKCIL”), in which it
holds a 40% equity stake, amounted to Rs. 16.15 crore for Q2 FY27.
