Key Highlights
B) Commodity Segment – (VAC & CCVL)
#4579BD
a) Suspension PVC
• Domestic demand stayed soft because of the seasonal monsoon slowdown. Chinese dumping remains unabated affecting margins.
#00AEEF
• PVC prices and realisations improved during the quarter, driven by rising crude oil and ethylene prices and higher ocean freight rates amid global supply disruptions, which made
imported PVC more expensive. The Minimum Import Prices also helped stabilize the prices.
• However, these higher PVC prices dampened pipe demand further, and offtake from government projects remained low.
#25408F
• The segment continues to be hit by multiple headwinds/ structural shifts. With VCM prices catching-up with PVC prices, spreads are likely to remain volatile.
#6C3F98 b) Value-added Chemicals (‘VAC’)
• VAC performance remained subdued during Q2 FY27, as margin pressures persisted.
#7670B4 • Caustic soda volumes were impacted by the Karaikal plant shutdown and reduced operations at Mettur, while pricing remained under pressure due to global oversupply and weak
demand.

MD’s Message
“Q2 FY27 marked a meaningful improvement in the Company’s performance, with consolidated revenue growing 28% year-on-year to
Rs. 1,323 crores. EBITDA stood at Rs. 111 crores, compared to Rs. 43 crores in the corresponding quarter last year, reflecting an
improvement in overall business performance.
#4579BD
Our Specialty Chemicals portfolio continued to deliver strong progress, led by healthy demand in Paste PVC and the continued scale-up
#00AEEF of CMCD. In Paste PVC, improved market conditions and better realisations supported business performance. CMCD delivered another
strong quarter and continues to gain momentum, driven by growing pipeline, a robust order book across agrochemicals,
pharmaceuticals and other speciality chemical applications. With deeper customer engagements and new molecules progressing
#25408F
towards commercialisation, we remain confident about the long-term growth trajectory of this business. In Refrigerant Gases, we are
progressing with the planned addition of new capacities, targeted for commercial operations by the end of FY27, which will further
#6C3F98 strengthen our position in this business.
VAC profitability remained constrained in Q2 FY27 amid ongoing demand-supply imbalances. While Suspension PVC pricing improved
#7670B4 during the quarter, driven by rising crude oil and ethylene prices and higher ocean freight rates, it continues to face significant structural
headwinds. As VCM prices catch up with PVC prices, spreads are likely to remain volatile, reinforcing the cyclical and earnings-sensitive
S. Ganeshkumar
nature of the business.
#41AE49 Managing Director
Going forward, we will continue to focus on strengthening our speciality chemicals portfolio, accelerating the development of new
molecules, and expanding our manufacturing capabilities. We believe these initiatives will support our growth ambitions and position
the Company to capture emerging opportunities across its businesses.”
