MANAGEMENT COMMENTARY – Q2 FY27
Performance Highlights, Mr. Gnanesh (Sunil) Gala, Managing Director:
In Q2 FY27, the company’s top line grew by 31.7% from Rs. 246 Cr in Q2 FY 26 to Rs. 324 Cr.
Publication revenue grew robustly by 53.8% Y-o-Y to Rs. 140 Crores in Q2 FY27 vs Rs. 91 Crores
previously. This was majorly due to the spillover of Q1 revenue to Q2. If we look at H1 FY27
publication revenue, it has grown reasonably by 6.7% from Rs. 510 Cr to Rs. 544 Cr.
The curriculum change cycle that began in FY 26 is expected to continue for the next 2 Financial years
and now that the lower grades have changed in FY 26 and FY 27, we anticipate higher grades
changing which contributes higher revenue share compared to lower grades.
Stationery revenue grew to Rs. 184 Cr showing 18.7% overall Y-o-Y growth. Domestic Stationery grew
to Rs. 52 Crores showing 34.2% growth and Export Stationery grew to Rs. 132 Cr showing 13.6%
growth.
Domestic stationery will continue to show decent growth due to our focus on branding and non-
paper stationery. We strive to aggressively penetrate the markets with more customer centric
products to achieve long term sustainability.
Exports have shown signs of revival and shall see a U-shaped recovery in the near term provided
supply chain disruptions, geopolitical challenges and weakening global demand gets in favor of
exporters.
Our momentum is just getting started as we unlock higher-value curriculum cycles and aggressive
market expansions. With domestic stationery thriving and global exports primed for a recovery, your
investment is anchored in a resilient, high-growth engine built for long-term sustainable returns.
