Profit after tax more than doubled to ₹232 crore from ₹113 crore, driven by higher eyewear volumes, premiumisation and strong demand across India and international markets. EBITDA (pre-IndAS 116) grew 65.0% year-on-year to ₹392 crore from ₹237 crore, with margins expanding to 13.8% from 11.1%. The improvement reflects growing scale and operating efficiencies, supported by Lenskart's integrated business model spanning brands, manufacturing and distribution. For H1 FY27, revenue increased 33.0% to ₹5,559 crore, while profit after tax reached ₹461 crore, equivalent to 87% of the company's full-year FY26 profit. Over the trailing 12 months, Lenskart's revenue crossed ₹10,000 crore. Commenting on the performance, Peyush Bansal, Chairman, Managing Director and CEO, Lenskart, said, “A large part of the world still does not have access to vision correction, and with it, to a better life. What is at stake is whether a billion people get their eyesight, which decides whether they can learn and grow. You cannot train your way there; you have to engineer it, which is why remote optometry, now in 934 of our stores, was innovated. It takes a different kind of company: one that owns everything from the factory to the face, builds brands for everyone from the first pair to the one you always wanted, and keeps evolving as fast as the world does. That is the company and the culture we are building, from India for the world. We named our new concept store in Worli, Mumbai, Lenskart evolv for that reason; walk in, spend an hour, and you will get a glimpse of it. It is still Day Zero.” India growth gathers momentum as Lenskart expands deeper into smaller cities India revenue grew 35.3% year-on-year to ₹1,668 crore, supported by 26.5% growth in eyewear volumes and rising demand for premium lenses. Same-store sales growth reached 20.8%, compared with 14.8% a year ago, with growth across metros, Tier 1 and Tier 2+ markets. Lenskart added 143 net new stores in India, including 94 in Tier 2+ markets, and entered 61 new cities. Its India network now spans 2,868 stores across 665 cities. The company conducted 80 lakh eye tests globally, up 40.4% year-on-year. Lenskart Gold crossed one crore active members in India, reaching 1.03 crore at quarter-end, up 38.6% year-on-year. Integrated manufacturing supports margins despite currency headwinds Lenskart maintained its consolidated product margin at 70.0%, compared with 69.2% a year ago, despite continued rupee depreciation. In-house frame manufacturing grew 71.7% year-on-year, while lens manufacturing increased 52.2%, helping offset currency pressures and strengthen control over product quality and costs. Lenskart's integrated model brings together eyewear brands, frame and lens manufacturing, centralised prescription eyewear production and distribution. Its Bhiwadi facility, which is highly automated, uses robotic production processes and AI-enabled quality checks to manufacture prescription eyewear for domestic and international markets. The company is also investing in its upcoming Hyderabad facility to support future capacity requirements and international growth. International business grows 29.5%; EBITDA margin crosses 10% for second consecutive quarter International revenue increased 29.5% year-on-year to ₹1,201 crore, supported by strong performance across Japan, Southeast Asia, Middle East and other geographies. Growth stood at approximately 23% on a constant-currency basis, while eyewear volumes increased 29.7%. International EBITDA (pre-IndAS 116) grew 86.8% to ₹127 crore, with margins expanding to 10.6% from 7.3% a year ago. This marked the second consecutive quarter of margins above 10%, supported by scale and improving product margins. Lenskart continued to expand internationally, adding 22 net new stores in the quarter and taking its global network to 3,624. Of these, 12 were in Southeast Asia, 3 in the Middle East, 2 in Japan and 5 in other markets. The company will also open a Meller store on Via del Corso in Rome later this month. Technology and customer experience remain central to growth Lenskart continued to expand technology-enabled eye care, with remote optometry now available in 934 stores across India, compared with 303 a year ago. AI is increasingly being deployed across customer service, employee training, inventory planning and manufacturing to improve efficiency and customer experience. In October, the company unveiled its first Lenskart evolv concept store in Worli, Mumbai, bringing together design, technology, fashion and culture in a new eyewear retail experience. Operating cash flow covers store expansion; ROCE rises to 22.5% Lenskart generated ₹388 crore in operating cash flow during H1 FY27, comfortably covering ₹187 crore of capital expenditure on stores, refurbishments and remote optometry.
