Ola Electric Mobility Limited announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ola Cell Technologies, has received BIS certification for its indigenously developed LFP 46100 cylindrical cell. This makes Ola Electric the first Indian company to achieve such certification for a 46100 format cell, significantly expanding its in-house battery portfolio beyond NMC 4680 cells. The certification, along with other international standards, validates the cell's safety and performance, strengthening India's advanced battery manufacturing capabilities and promoting energy independence through significant localization.
